What to Expect

The tour starts at your accommodation, where we will pick you up and take you to the Springbrook National Park. Once there, at around 7:30 pm, we will take a short walk through nicely formed paths in the ancient forest, where you’ll have the opportunity to gaze upon giant Beech trees and an occasional bird, reptile or mammal from the wildlife of the area.

Torches will be provided before starting the walk, to help you and your guide have a better look of the night forest. This short but adventurous walk will take you to the Natural Arch Cave and Waterfall, and this is the moment when you need to be ready to be completely amazed. Here you’ll see a completely natural spectacle, as this is the place where the Glow Worms are live, forming a galaxy of light on the cave roof. It’s a spectacle so amazing, that you’ll feel like floating up in the space and starring at the brilliant starts, only that in this case, there is no stars but actual worms.

The guide will be with the group all along, sharing some comments about the wildlife of the area, and explaining how these worms use their luminescence to attract their prey and feed themselves. So, you will not only have the chance to see this beautiful scene, but you will also learn a thing or two to invite others to live this experience later.

After watching this natural show, we will leave the natural bridge at around 8:30 and return to the forest, where you’ll have the chance to stare at the night sky in the southern hemisphere, better known for its proliferation of stars, many of it not able to be seen in the northern hemisphere.
